Opened in 2006, Hector Diaz's Modesto features something that is more than food, or an experience, or a simple night out. We find a living, breathing labor of love. A restaurant needs to be alive, ever changing and evolving, mirroring our passing lives and experiences. The fluidity of our own lives is revealed as our tastes and whims come and go - our memories indelibly layered throughout our experiences of food and dining.
At Modesto we work within certain critical parameters - a "fine dining" experience of value that anyone who wants to eat out can afford; beauty in all areas of cuisine and ambiance; food that is challenging, passionate, and delicious; and the paramount belief in health for our patrons, our employees, and our management. Food can be pushing the boundaries of cuisine, while also being health conscious and affordable!
Within this general ethos we work and exist while all the time knowing that our tastes and desires are evolving. The restaurants of today must be able to move, and live, and change to meet the needs of our patrons and our own artistic appetites.
